Description
Hi @Noitidart,
there we go, I'm finished with the French translation of NativeShot - well I
don't know about that, let's see what's following -.
I have to inform about some stuff:
I - PURE TRANLSATION STUFF:
1 - Title of the screenshot:
In French "Screenshot" is translated into "Capture d'écran", which could be a
bit too long, "annoying", for the title of the screenshot. Therefore, I changed
it into "Capture":
"Capture écran - ....png" ==> "Capture - ...png".
2 - "Failed for Error":
I had some difficulties to translate that string.
I translated it into "Erreur fatale", which would, somehow, mean that
NativeShot had crashed.
I don't know if I'm right there.
3 - OCR:
I haven't found anything relevant about "Meme" and "Math". So I haven't
translated them. I mean, "Meme" becomes "meme", and "Math" becomes "math" -
notice the first letter is not capitalized, it is the rule in French.
II - DASHBOARD STUFF:
1 - "NativeShot Dashboard":
"Dashboard" should be translated into "Tableau de bord". This couldn't be done
because of the length of the string. It's "collapsed" with the rest of the text - HISTORY
OPTIONS... - when the page is scrolled down. Then, I translated
"Dashboard" into "Console", which gives "Console de NativeShot".
2 - "Print Preview":
On my system - which is Linux - when the state of that option is "Off", the
configuration "window" of the printer shows up. And when that option is "On",
obviously, it's the inverse.
I don't know if this is intended or not.
III - "USING NATIVESHOT" STUFF:
1 - Line tool:
I sent an screenshot - attached to that very email - to you, that explains
everything. I don't know if it's intended or not.
2 - "Line Radius (px)":
I translated that string, but I was unable to find it when I tested
NativeShot.
3 - Font shortcuts:
I had to translated some shortcuts concerning the fonts. I was unable to use
them.
One more thing. Sometimes, when I intend to make a screenshot, my system
freezes entirely. I then "kill" Firefox Developer Edition - in a tty - and my
session is back. It might be due to my system configuration. I don't know that.
That's it Noitidart.
It is a matter of fact that if you find anything unpleasant about the strings
translation - or anything else -, you have to notify me.
Best regards,
@tojazmin
