<dd>Borrowed money that's paid back with interest</dd></span>
<span><dt><b>Debt:</b></dt>
<dd>Owed money that's added onto loan over time</dd> </span>
<span><dt><b>Interest:</b></dt>
<dd>Extra money that's added onto loan over time</dd></span>
<span><dt><b>Check:</b></dt>
<dd>A written instruction to transfer a specific amount of money between accounts or people</dd></span>
<span><dt><b>Credit Card:</b></dt>
<dd>A card used to spend money and pay it back after</dd></span>
<span><dt><b>Debit Card:</b></dt>
<dd>A card used to spend money by taking it directly out of your account</dd></span>
<span><dt><b>Taxes:</b></dt>
<dd>Payments to the government for work that it does, based on how much money you earn</dd></span>
<span><dt><b>Investment:</b></dt>
<dd>Something that you spend money on, believing that you'll earn even more money from it </dd></span>
<span><dt>Stock:</dt>
<dd>A part of the company that you pay a price to own. The price can change based on whats happening in the company</dd></span>
<span><dt>401(k):</dt>
<dd>A savings account for retirement, taken directly from your paycheck</dd></span>
<span><dt>FICO Score:</dt>
<dd>A credit score that shows that you have a good history on paying bills on time, and that you don't accumulate a lot of debt. A good credit score is helpful in the future when borrowing money and buying a house or a car</dd></span>
<span><dt>Term:</dt>
<dd>The amount of time allowed until a loan must be paid back</dd></span>
<span><dt>APR:</dt>
<dd>Annual Percentage Rate, a measurement used to compare different loans, based on interest rate, term, and fees to show the total cost of the loan as a yearly rate</dd></span>
<span><dt>Bounced Check:</dt>
<dd>A check that didn't go through because there wasn't enough money in the account to pay for it</dd></span>
<span><dt>Co-Signer:</dt>
<dd>A second person who signs your credit or loan application and is equally responsible to repay the debt. A co-signer is often necessary when applying for a credit card or loan for the first time, or when a person has a low credit score</dd></span>

<dd>A profit from the sale or property or an investment</dd></span>
<span><dt>Asset Allocation:</dt>
<dd>When an asset's value must be determined for the purpose of taxation
