I didn't know they introduced a custom Mozilla iconset. Good to know! Will look over this issue once I start with esr140 development.

ok it turns out I lied, they straight-up are removing ALL of the GTK control rendering code, from the sounds of it from more digging:

Worth noting that this excludes:

• The palette
• Shadows

Edit: Although there is now an about:config value that grants System Theme its Windows/mac behaviour in Linux (browser.theme.native-theme, when disabled), for those who don't want GTK colour palettes in System Theme
