RELAP5/MOD3 MIT Pressurizer input model conversion to TRACE input. The RELAP5 input model uses a TDV and a TDJ at the inlet to a pipe component. The TDV is a constant pressure and temperature. The TDJ uses a time versus mass flow table. The TRACE FILL component that is a result of the conversion of the TDV and TDJ is a type 6 FILL which is a generalized state versus independent-variable form table. It looks like there is a one-for-one conversion of the numbers, but the mass flow from the TDJ is not converted to mass flow in the FILL component. It is entered in as a velocity, i.e. a mass flow of 0.41 kg/s in the TDJ table is converted to 0.41 m/s in the FILL table. The FILL type (6) indicates the generalized table is looking for velocities. Since the TDV is a constant pressure and temperature, the FILL type should be 5, which is a mass flow vs independent-variable form table.
