SNAP occasionally freezes when opening a TRACE VESSEL

I did not find the issue mentioned here yet:

Sometimes it takes longer for SNAP to open Geometry and Connections window of TRACE Vessels. Occasionally it freezes completely and requires a restart to continue. The problem seems to be persistent across the versions as I encountered this behavior in all versions I worked with (4.0.1, 4.3.1, 5.0) so far. No such issue was observed when opening other settings of the Vessel component (e.g. Volumetric and Edge Data).

I guess this could be related to the 3D graphical visualization of the Vessel, as it does not open/vanishes every now and then when manipulating with the window (see the figure below).

The 3D library used for that preview sometimes doesn't play nicely with virtualized hardware, or hardware that doesn't support 3D displays. You can turn off the whole capability in General Preferences:

We're working on replacing the 3D library, but it's unfortunately not a high priority currently. I'll leave this issue open until we convert TRACE to use the new 3D libraries.
