`fre analysis` test failure, related to `freanalysis_clouds`

the companion issue to this on the fre-cli side is here, with stack trace and all. TLDR, user-analysis-scripts/freanalysis_clouds seems to be suffering from something regarding intake-esm

i dug around this repo a little bit, and noticed #25 was a recent PR regarding intake-esm issues, perhaps freanalysis_clouds requires a similar fix?

While we still need to disable threading (for now) with the environmental variable ITK_ESM_THREADING set to False, the latest release of intake-esm: https://github.com/intake/intake-esm/releases/tag/v2025.7.9 should include the fix that was referenced in #25. Hopefully, leaving the dependency as "intake-esm" (without the @git+ specification) in the pyproject.toml should yield the v2025.7.9 version.

Should we be setting ITK_ESM_THREADING as an environment variable within the __init__.py of these scripts? Or do we have a more robust way of setting it for everything that uses intake-esm?

Really, intake-esm should be setting that variable for itself, and offering a configurable option through an interface they control. I can't force the venv to inherit an export ITK_ESM_THREADING=1 unfortunately.

ideally, fre-cli/fre analysis should be fairly blind to any reqs of the analysis scripts

also, got bad news, freanalysis_clouds is currently specifying intake-esm without a tag
