FV3 LAMDA Monitoring Diagnostics

There is a need to utilize PyGSI and emcpy to develop diagnostics for Regional DA monitoring. The diagnostic types include:

1. Minimization Diagnostics

• Jo
• Gradnorm

2. Radiance Diagnostics

• Time series of omf/oma with bias correction
• Time series of omf/oma without bias correction
• Time series of obs counts
• 2D plots of assimilated/rejected/monitored - qc flags
• Histograms with multiple layers

3. Conventional Obs

• 2D plots of assimilated/rejected/monitored

4. Workflow to run these diagnostics

• Develop yaml to create all possibilities i.e. channels, qcflags, domains, etc.
