Description
We plan to acquire special data to test the UCoMP Lyot filter response:
- we will make wide flat scans around emission lines like 1079 and 1074 using continuum = both, blues, and red and also take science data
- we will make scans with +/- pi added to stage 0. This should make no changes at all if the code and tables are correct
- Ben will save the intermediate values in labview to verify the proper +/- pi correction is made in the labview code
- Ben will also test the interpolation used in his python version of the code (labview uses a spline) and test the difference between a bilinear and a spline. This is worth checking because the blue/red off band tuning is at the end of the table and there could be edge effects.
- When the IG folks will be onsite for the UCoMP alignment, we will take data with a spectrometer to test the Lyot response.
I am concerned that when we add +/- pi/8 to the stage 0 we are working at the end of the measured data and the voltage/phase relationship is in a region that is very flat. We also cannot rule out an issue with the tables we use. Ben says these tables can be reconstructed onsite and we will do that when we reopen.
