KC8 - 'Selected anchor footprint is on the root schematic sheet'

Replicator running on KC 8.0.5 fails with a non-root sheet anchor component that works with KC 7.0.11

Here >>> V8_Replicate_Error.zip <<< is a simple project with an anchor component (connector) on a nested sheet and a fuse on a different nested sheet.

This replicates just fine on V7 of KiCad (7.0.11)...

... but immediately fails when run on KC V8 .0.5).

I recently learned that the Python API for KiCad will be changed from SWIG to the IPC API and that SWIG bindings will be removed in 2026.

I completely understand your frustration with that change but I (and others I'm sure) am interested in knowing if you will be maintaining support for KC8 as you've suggested here >>>Typer error 'SwigPyObjec · Issue #76 · MitjaNemec/ReplicateLayout or if you are holding off until the new IPC bindings are in place or if you have abandoned your effort altogether.

That 3rd option would be unfortunate but important to know. You've built a great plug-in and it would be great to see it live on.
