Connecting to OSP via UserApp Workflow to Access Middle Tier

We need to securely connect to the middle-tier from a NetIQ UserApp workflow, but Gromit requires an AngularJS connection, and I haven't been able to figure out how to use AngularJS in the workflow (if it's even possible).

Any ideas, on what my options might be, to create an authenticated connection to the middle-tier from a UserApp workflow?

You could always use yet another proxy …ugh. Otherwise I think your going to need a custom workflow activity that can do the oAuth.
