[BUG] iOS app can view/add torrents but cannot pause/resume/delete (Action failed: Server not found) #91

@Kylesare57

Description

@Kylesare57

qBitControl can successfully connect to my qBittorrent instance, display torrents in real time, and add new torrents. However, any control actions on existing torrents (pause, resume, delete, etc.) fail with the error:

“Action failed: Server not found”

The qBittorrent WebUI works normally and allows full control over the same torrents.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Open qBitControl on iOS
2. Connect to a remote qBittorrent instance
3. View existing torrents (works)
4. Add a new torrent (works)
5. Attempt to pause, resume, or delete an existing torrent
6. Observe error: “Action failed: Server not found”

Expected Behavior

Control actions (pause, resume, delete, etc.) should be sent successfully to the qBittorrent server and take effect immediately.

Actual Behavior

All control actions on existing torrents fail with “Action failed: Server not found.”
Viewing torrent status and adding torrents continues to work.

Screenshots

Attached screenshot showing torrent list and the error message:

“Action failed: Server not found”

iOS Client
• Device: iPhone 14 Pro
• OS: iOS 26.2
• App: qBitControl
• App Version: 1.6.9

qBittorrent Server
• Reported version (in app): 4.6.3
• Hardware: Raspberry Pi 5
• OS: Ubuntu Server LTS (repo version)
• Access: Remote connection (VPN port-forwarded)

Additional Context
• qBittorrent WebUI works normally and allows full control.
• Both qBitControl and qBittorrent were freshly installed.
• The issue occurs consistently.
• No error appears in the WebUI when the action fails in qBitControl.
• This appears limited to control actions; read-only actions and adding torrents succeed.
• This may indicate an API endpoint, permission, or server identifier mismatch between read/add vs. control actions.
