Usb created on Windows does not boot (bios not uefi)

Hi,

I tried 2 times with 2 different flash USB, following successfully all the steps in https://github.com/Mexit/MultiOS-USB/blob/master/docs/README_image , but the flash usb seems to be not bootable: on power on, selecting to boot from usb, the computer without any message instead just start the main OS from the hard disk.

Quite old computer with BIOS not UEFI.
MultiOS-USB v 0.9.9 for Windows.
Used latest Rufus version to write the img file.
MultiOS-EFI FAT partition
MultiOS-USB FAT32 partition, with the 2 folders MultiOS-USB (with files from the zip) e ISOs (containing a iso, lmde-6-cinnamon-32bit.iso)

Result: not bootable and no message.

Important note: with the same 2 USB flash drives, Ventoy does boot perfectly.

Is multios-usb or the selected iso not working?

You should at least get a "starting grub..." message.

Which exact command did you use to create the bootable drive?

The lmde6 iso does have an issue where it does not boot correctly and requires a custom config (search issues here).

Please check on another computer; everything is working fine on mine.

@Mexit I just tried the same USB flash drive on a newer computer (UEFI) that, at his boot menu, shows a list of all bootable disk/partition that it seen: the USB flash drive with MultiOS-USB is NOT listed, so it's not recognized as bootable.

Which exact command did you use to create the bootable drive?

@JonnyTech as I said, to put the MultiOS-USB .img on the USB flash drive, I simply used Rufus (with his default parameters).

I am not a Windows user. Does Rufus write the image in dd mode? Can you post the Rufus log here please?
