instructions for installation?

@baobabbaum pointed me to your code, thank you so much for releasing it on github!
Would it be possible to include a file called "readme.md" or "readme.txt", which github would then display on the main page? The file ReadMeFirst.rtf doesn't show well (not basic text format).

Also, a Makefile would be super helpful, to compile from source easily on various platforms. perhaps it's there and I didn't find it --sorry.

Eventually a Readme.md will be made, I expect. Regarding Makefiles: the code as written is restricted to MacOS X 10.6 and before. (MacClade has always been Mac-only.) Thus, it cannot be currently compiled on a modern OS. We released it because others asked. It would be great if someone could rewrite it so that it could work on a modern version of the MacOS. I expect that would probably be about of week or so of coding. To get it working on a different OS much more work would be needed.
