Power Task 3 #13

Description

@curtisv17

Hey guys. Since I'll be out of town and one of you wanted me to post the next task sooner, I've started writing down some future tasks I see based on my meeting with mechanical.

Curtis to Finish Later: Write electrical portion of Task 3

Items from Mech for Task 3:

  • Read competition manual related to E-stop. Outline criteria from a rules and operating perspective
  • Mechanical would like cable sizes from us sooner rather than later. Based on the motors and the total current we expect from the battery, look into what cable sizes and what types of custom cables we might want to use to deliver our 48VDC power.
  • Mech wants us to keep a running list of the components we pick. If we are not set on a part, they would like us to stick to a consistent footprint. For example, if we use a push button for an e-stop, we should first pick a general size such as a 10mm diameter. It's fine if we don't use the exact one we picked, but any future changes should be close to the 10mm diameter.
