3D objects not importing on Mac Tahoe 26.2

Hi! I downloaded the new Makera CAM for Mac today and I can no longer import 3D object files (OBJ). Also, it started up with all menus in Chinese, and I couldn't find a tutorial on the web for how to switch it to English. I ended up going through all of the menus and submenus until I found the option I needed.

Updates: It looks like OBJs weren't importing into 2.1.6 on the Mac either. After switching it to an STL, I got the model to load, but then found a button that didn't translate under the 3D chamfer menu:
