Use as distance measuring device only with a 30s refresh rate

Hi.
I tested this project as an external component (local) using esphome and an esp32 dev board.
I can see data logged when the sensor detects a movement. I do see distance being reported.
Is there a quick code snipped I can use in my yaml for reporting distance only, please?
I will take a look at the code but if you guys have something ready I'd take that with great pleasure and big thanks :-)
I need long range (more than 2meters) by the way.
