margin option for additional space

Can we add a margin option (like in my Limits code) that specifies a minimum space between an end mirror and fibre for length constrained design? Sometimes (especially in high divergence cases) the current code recommends a very small space between the fibre and end mirror. All this would do is ensure that the fibre length is reduced such that a minimum space is maintained.
