BOT not working, not answering

im trying to set up the bot using koboldcpp and i have everything ready the bot is on my server and everything i changed the .env i wrote:

BOT_TOKEN="MYAPI"
KAI_ENDPOINT=http://localhost:5001
ADMIN_NAME=kroryen#0000 (my real number here)

but still not answering and the bot is online what should i do?

First, make sure that your discord bot token is correct.
Next, for the admin name you only need the username. So kroryen is enough
Lastly, make sure you type /botwhitelist @your_bot_name in the channel where you want your bot to respond.

Thanks for you quick answer mate, the token is correct ( i can see how the bot gets connected after run it and i use it on other bot that were working) i did /botwhitelist yesterday but didnt work i did even try to send provate messages to it,

I did try today changing kroryen#0000 by kroryen but still having the same issue, it looks like its not making connection to kobold but i can acces to koboldcpp using that url and it works , thanks for your help i really appreciate your work with koboldcpp

you need to type /botwhitelist @your_bot_name in the channel which the bot is in, make sure its a bot ping. It should respond when it gets whitelisted

I did it mate, as i told you i use the same token with others bots and they work well, the bot in discord is whitelisted everywhere but even if i send dms to the bot doesnt answer but the others are able to answer me, i dont get very well why this doesnt answer me 🤷‍♂️

I want to use this because it uses koboldcpp the others used ollama but the whitelist staff have to be done anyway with them

Okay then maybe your koboldcpp backend is not accessible. Is the KoboldCpp running on the same server as the bot? Can it access http://localhost:5001 ? Check the bot terminal output, are there any errors?
