Possibility of coloring text inside parentheses, quotation marks, etc.

Hello,

Thank you for this awesome theme. I love it! However, I cannot figure out a way to change the color of the text within parentheses and quotation marks. Such a feature would be extremely helpful for navigating through notes. Is this something that could be added to the theme?

I am using the iPad and macOS versions. I wonder if this feature is already available on the Windows version?

Regarding your issue, unfortunately there is no way for a theme to change the color of text between parentheses or quotation marks.

This happens because a theme can only change the style of portions of text that are considered CSS elements (such as text between asterisks (italic), double asterisks (bold), backticks (code), dollar signs ($\LaTeX$), and so on...

Obsidian by default does not associate any CSS element to text between parentheses or quotation marks, making styling these portions of text impossible.

Anyway, there might be some plugins (different from themes, because plugins can change the way Obsidian works, and not only its aesthetics) that can do what you are asking for. For example, in the thread that I linked above, someone suggests using the plugin Obsidian Dynamic Highlighs to tell Obsidian to highlight specific portions of text that satisfy a specific regex pattern.

This is surely not the only plugin that can do this, so you can look for other plugins that can solve your issue.
