variable naming issue

Hi... I just came across your project looking for some code to return a gif bug and your code helped.

Quick comment, though. It appears there's a bug in the variable naming. At the top it's called clear_gif_contents and in the return it's called transparent_gif_contents.

Any reason why you don't do the decode at the top when you set the variable? (I'm truly curious here... I'm new to python, so...)
