Terribly slow responsiveness when used together with 'vim' plugin #123

Description

@jensb

I am using VSCode on Linux and when this plugin is activated together with the 'vim mode' plugin (even if these are the only ones), the editor responsiveness to commands (be it navigation or editing) is terribly slow, only 1-2 keypresses per second are accepted.
Disabling beancount or the vim-mode plugin and restarting all extensions fixes this behaviour.

I have done some research and disabling "sticky scrolling" (as described in VSCodeVim/Vim#9717) doesn't help.

I started a new VScode instance in a new user account (blank slate) with only Beancount & vim, and it was fast - until I started adding Beancount files. It seems this is related to the Beancount trying to find completions - and I have ~20 years of booking history that it has to go through, literally tens of thousands of payees and narrations.
So this happens also on a blank VSCode installation with just the vim and beancount plugins and default settings.
