Neil (BU clinic student) wants to coordinate and help w/ tenants who want to organize to fight bad actor landlords. By helping centralize the data collection about bad conditions. Visualize on a map where certain bad conditions exist. Are there similar conditions throughout the building.

We want to turn this into a custom-looking Word document. It won't be as stilted or formulaic as the checkbox complaint.

For the complaint, less is more--don't make people be specific about the start and end date of bad conditions. Keep that for a damages worksheet, but don't put it in the complaint. Too much risk for people under or overvaluing their bad conditions.

When you file an emergency TRO--do you need to have filed the return of service (with the original summons) at the same time?

Rule 65 - a TRO can be issued without service. You might not even need notice. But it will expire after 10 days.

We might need to invent some of the formality that the housing court doesn't really deal with now. E.g., most of the time people don't return to court for further enforcement.
