## React errors

If you're getting React errors or other errors not covered here, maybe you already had IDM installed from a previous time. You need to make sure you're working with a clean copy of idm. You can do the following:
1. if you don't have SSH follow these instructions to set it up: [SSH Setup](https://help.github.com/articles/adding-a-new-ssh-key-to-your-github-account/)
1. type the following commands into your terminal:
```sh
git remote remove origin`
git remote add origin git@github.com:$GITHUB_USER/idm.git
git remote add upstream git@github.com:LearnersGuild/idm.git
git add --all
git stash
git stash drop
git checkout master
git fetch --all
git reset --hard upstream/master
rm -rf node_modules
nvm use
NODE_ENV=development
```

1. You're now done cleaning your IDM, try starting over now.

## Connection Errors

If you can visit `localhost:9001` but not `idm.learnersguild.dev` or are getting odd connection problems, perhaps your mehserve isn't having unique access to port 9001. You may have Apache server running.
Try running this in a terminal `sudo /usr/sbin/apachectl stop`.
