Can you make the application compatible with Linux?

I was wondering if there is a convenient way to make the app available for Linux. Plenty of people are now using Linux due to the success of the Steam deck and proton and it’s a real shame the Mod Manager doesn’t work :/

People have gotten it working using a variety of methods it seems. See here: #12

I don't have Linux / a steam deck myself, coupled with the program using .Net Framework, so this is all unsupported.

Probably converting the project to modern .NET should be fairly painless, though probably worthwhile also looking into AvaloniaUI afterwards, in order to enable the GUI to run on non-Windows platforms.

It would be great, but I think some Linux user(s) need to volunteer to work on implementing this. As long as the maintainer is open to accepting pull requests and refactoring things to make multi-platform support easier then it ought to be possible. We shouldn't expect them to do the work for us.
