Exploit the special case pairing due to b oth real and fake datasets b eing simulated from the same
ground truth by produce a whole image difference.

Validation pro ducts may include:
* 2D difference image of individual events
* projections on channel and time axes
* histogram per-event sum of difference pixels over the dataset
