Description
Section 2 pg 78 has a brief discussion on local variables, It states the common misconception that these variables operate in the UI thread and a context switch is required for every call of a local variable node, which is incorrect. It does add some small overhead in terms of the transfer buffer for writes and a mutex lock for reads but calls do not implicitly result in a context switch to the UI thread.
