Game freezes

I'm playing version 2.3 patch on DesMume and when I receive the Pokeballs at the beginning of the game, it freezes when I attempt to proceed.

hmm, strange have you tried the lower patches and see if it does the same thing?

Never thought to try, seemed like a dumb idea to downgrade...

I use patch 2.2 on Desumume 9.8 and it works for me, it seems like that patch 2.3 itself is causing the problem.

hmm, did you patch it too, cause it might be the issue :(

I patched the rom myself and tried both patches (2.2 and 2.3) with 2.3 freezing on me as well.

So 2.3 itself seems to be the problem here?

this was happening to me when i mistakenly patched an already patched rom, froze in the same place. try getting a proper clean rom and trying again, works fine for me now (2.3)

Dangit it's like, impossible to find a clean rom
