Doesn't seem to remember saved settings on launch

After the new update it opened in default settings. I had to make all the preferences again. And when I close the app, it defaults next time its opened. Current fix to it, is to import setting from a file.

settings.zip settings 1 is default, 2 is my settings.

ok. tested with your settings using portable (actually doesn't matter, as files are exactly the same as installer version) windows version, no issues observed. likely the issue is somewhere on your side. or little chance that you are using too old version (something like 5.1.3, don't remember), where bug with position saving existed.

from time to time users contact me with the similar issues (or "no settings saved" at all), in most cases the root cause on the user's side - config storage is not writable (at least this is the only reasonable explanation how this may happen). "total cleanup" usually solves this.

what I recommend:

• export your settings
• uninstall/remove whatever version you have
• make sure that any leftover configs don't exists, see here to find the places to look at. remove anything if something found.
• download latest available nightly build (now this is reasonable in this case, there were some changes around app startup too)
• import your settings

note: never run the application as administrator. running it as administrator and then as regular user is likely will case "unwritable config storage" issue, and as result, inability to store position and so on.
