What could be the reason for this?

I loaded a 111.stl model, which is about 20MB in size. Then I loaded 5 VTK files, each about 200MB, and generated two slices. The animation playback is very slow, with each frame taking about 30 seconds. I'm using VtkLocalView mode. What could be the reason for this?

It is hard to tell without looking at your data, but for each timestep a new set of fields (and maybe geometry) needs to be send to the client.

Also in that case, you are using trame-vtk with vtk.js and not trame-vtklocal which use VTK.wasm.
