It takes a good while from an image is done uploading until the thumb is displayed in Craft. The same is the case for mediaflowapp.com directly. This could typically be 5 seconds upload time and 5 seconds wait time for the thumbnail after that. Could you use something like http://demo.phpgang.com/jquery-show-image-thumbnail-before-upload/ to show the thumb instantly and make it usable without the wait, as soon as the upload is confirmed in Mediaflow?
