When opening Firefox with a url, the url does not display in the address bar #6

Steps to reproduce:
When opening firefox (Alt+f2 then type "firefox http://localhost" in Linux Mint), the URL does not display in the address bar, instead it says Search or enter address. This stays in the URL bar until I create a new tab and navigate, use a link on the current page, or use the address bar to navigate.
Actual results:
When firefox loads, the address bar says "Search or enter address." instead of the website URL.
Expected results:
The website URL should appear.
