Deployment in tomcat #5

Hello.
This might be a rookie question, but I still need to ask. How to I deploy jVoiD in a tomcat server?
I've downloaded the content of the master branch but I couldn't switch to any other branch as the readme file says. I executed "mvn clean install" and then "mvn package" and copied all of the war files in the webapps folder inside the tomcat server. After that I configured the database using the schema you provide, and configured tomcat to use it as well.
When I tried to start the application, I could only get blank pages with a short text containing a greeting and the name of a war file. Could you please point me in the right direction?
