Machine Learning comprises many varied techniques. What are the general properties of machine learning? In this assignment you will write an essay or not less than 1 page and not more than 2 pages that talks about one or more of the following:
- What is a reasonable definition of Machine Learning?
- What does Machine Learning have to do with data?
- Why has Machine Learning become so important over the last few years?
- What are the social and/or ethical implications of the widespread use of machine learning?
This essay should be turned in as either a text file, markdown file, or pdf. See the syllabus for due dates.
Use web, book, or video resources. Be sure to provide a bibliography of the resources you found. You should watch and be prepared to discuss in class these two videos:
