When I try get the data of the user I get "get_user_self: JSON status code 9402 (Resource not found.)"

Few weeks ago it works fine, so look like Nintendo changed the API.

Yep, Nintendo stopped supporting it on their end.

As a workaround, would calling get_user_by_friend_code() with the user's own friend code work as a replacement?

Um... there are any way to get own friend code without set manually?

Thanks to Andy for getting me the specifics. While that API endpoint is dead, the friend code is still available for use. From the nso object, there's a function

nso.get_cached_friend_code()

That should return your formatted friendcode minus the SW- at the beginning. The cache will be populated as long as either an API call is made after login, or if ensure_api_login() is used before the call to get the cached code. EDIT: Note that this will not entirely be consistent using ensure_api_login() if the keys are fresh.

It's at least a workaround, still not sure what's going to be the best way to handle the change longer term.
