After Reddit retired /r/random and /r/randnsfw last year, v1.2.1 was released with support for configuring an external source for random and trending subreddits (in Settings > General > Custom API). Sources should point to a plaintext file with one subreddit name per line, without the
/r/prefix.If you have your own subreddit list you'd like to share, feel free to use this thread. Please mention if it is NSFW.
For reference, here are the default sources:
Default trending source (data from gummysearch.com): https://jeffreyca.github.io/subreddits/trending-gummy-daily.txt
Default /r/random source: https://jeffreyca.github.io/subreddits/popular.txt
These are updated regularly with scheduled GitHub Actions. You can get the code here and use it as reference.
