Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Import and Export of BVH files is currently broken and disabled, the underlying issue has not been identified.

Describe the solution you'd like
Import animations from BVH files that contain a supported skeleton (needs validation).
Export the final composition to a BVH file.

Describe alternatives you've considered
For now the glTF format is in place but it is not natively supported by Autodesk Maya, which makes roundtrips harder for the end-user. USD would be a nice option as well, but will need more work to implement.
