The latest release was months ago and many issues has been resolved since then. Can we have a fresh release of the package?

sure, but first i'm trying to port the course database from the pickle serialization to sqlite so that the update it's seamless. At the moment it's necessary to delete the local database file to successfully update, which may be not ideal for non tech users
