Description
Is the new benchmark computational or experimental?
- Computational
- Experimental
Is this a MultiTest or a normal Test?
Multitest.
Give a concise description of the benchmark
The FNG-ITER Dose Rate Experiment (NEA-1553/55) was carried out at the 14 MeV Frascati Neutron Generator to validate dose rate calculations for ITER by irradiating a stainless steel/water mock-up and measuring decayed gamma dose rates and activation in a configuration simulating ITER shielding. Measurements after shutdown were made with different types of detectors to assess dose rates relevant for maintenance periods, providing benchmark data for simulation validation and shielding design.

SINBAD code: NEA-1553/55
Does the benchmark needs new types of plots?
No as it already implemented with MCNP.
Can the benchmark be used for all codes implemented in JADE or for a specific subset?
Only for OpenMC in this case.
Can inputs of this benchmark be freely re-distributed?
- yes
- no
If no, please specify who will be able to access the inputs.
SINBAD users.
Additional information/context
Add here any additional information or context that you want to provide.
To be completed only for experimental benchmarks
Please erase this entire block if the benchmark to be added is a computational one.
Is any of the existing general classes suitable for this benchmark?
Yes, the one used in the PP already in place for MCNP raw results.
Can experimental data of this benchmark be freely re-distributed?
- yes
- no
If no, please specify who will be able to access the experimental data.
No, as for the SINBAD input.
