Diy rapiro board/alternative to rapiro board

Hi there! I wanted to make rapiro, but the control board is to expensive, even without tax! So i wanted to know can i use arduino nano+expansion board, or arduino+pca9685 servo controller, or wemos d1 mini, or even anything at all?

It gave me a hope to make rapiro, because it looked like a modified arduino nano or pro micro! Plss reply
