Mask 8 and TYPO3 12

Dear developers, is a version for Mask 8 and TYPO3 12 planned. Is there a foundrasing for it?

If I remember, mask_export was needed to solve a performance issue of mask, which was using an Extbase controller for the rendering.
Nowadays, mask does not use Extbase anymore for the frontend rendering.

Is mask_export still useful, and for what reason?

In my case, i was using mask to create new content types easily, and then mask_export to have them available "standalone", without mask installed.

@IchHabRecht : Would it make sense from your point of view to continue this extension or does the Ext:mask manage quite well without it with a bit of brain power from the developers on their V12 and also V13 projects?

Along with this question, I also like to ask the standard question of whether you want to hand over the project if it still makes sense and you just don't have the time?
