GREI Y5-4: Analytics and Reporting

Overview

In Year 5, we will focus our work on these tasks and deliverables:

4.1 Task: Individual repositories implement Make Data Count-compliant usage tracking and send to DataCite to enable usage statistics to be shared and reported to the wider community via DataCite
4.1.1 Deliverable: Complete individual repository implementation of DataCite Usage Tracker and/or Make Data Count log-processing
4.1.2 Deliverable: Implement process to report usage statistics from each GREI repository to DataCite through automated syncing, as recommended by Make Data Count

4.2 Task: Continue to develop and improve the All-GREI Metrics Dashboard, which will include citations, views, and download metrics for NIH-funded works published in GREI repositories
4.2.1 Deliverable: Define the next iteration of dashboard enhancements, in coordination with the GREI repositories and broader community
4.2.2 Deliverable: Release the next iteration dashboard with enhanced features
4.2.3 Deliverable: Document metrics definitions to ensure clarity, consistency, and transparency for GREI repositories and NIH stakeholders

4.3 Task: Optimize repositories for FAIR repository and data assessment by conducting a feasibility assessment of FAIR Signposting Level 2 with optional implementation as feasible in Year 5
4.3.1 Deliverable: Individual Repositories assess implementation of FAIR signposting Level 2
