Error: Failed to connect to server

Hello there,

I've got the Minecraft API all set up on my webserver, but when I try to ping 192.111.142.125:25567 or mc.gingergaming.com, the API always returns Error: failed to connect to ..., even though the server is fully operational and running.

The server.properties file has enable-query=true and the query.port=25567. (Weird thing is that server-port= is set to 25565).

In the MinecraftAPI class, I changed the port to 255657, after trying 25565. This didn't help, still the same error.

Our host is CreeperHost.

Any help would be appreciated 👍

I have quite the large list like this too. i think there needs to be some sort of error correction. im not sure how. this was a common issue with the website too. I run http://topmclist.com with this API

Alright, it seems that the API only tries to read query information from the game port, and not the query port. When you've got a server wich has a different game port and query port, the API won't work.

Why would you want them different? What does that accomplish?

Some game server providers automatically generate server.properties files, in my case they set the ports to different values.

the query port and the port people play on are the same by default. if your hosting provider doesnt leave this the way it is you should look for a new host, i recommend my own
