Explanation of reported statistics

This isn't really an issue but there is no one I can ask about this. Could you explain what the reported power stats actually represent? I have read the McPAT paper and the power modelling section but I don't know what the following actually mean:

Peak Power
Peak Dynamic
Runtime Dynamic

After working with McPAT for a few months and reading the paper I believe that the Peak Power comes from the sum of the Peak Dynamic, Gate Leakage, Subthreshold Leakage statistics. The Peak Dynamic power statistic is as if you are running the processor at 100% and I believe this value along with the Gate Leakage, Subthreshold Leakage come purely from the physical configuration of the system.

The Runtime Power comes from counter values observed from an application profile from a simulator and its McPAT's estimation of the actual dynamic power from the specific application that was run on a simulator.
