Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct

This project adopts the Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct, version 3.0.

Our Pledge

We pledge to make our community welcoming, safe, and equitable for all. We are committed to fostering an environment that respects the dignity, rights, and contributions of all participants, regardless of background, identity, experience, or status.

Encouraged Behaviors

To support a healthy community, contributors are expected to:

  • engage kindly and honestly with others;
  • respect different viewpoints and experiences;
  • take responsibility for their actions and contributions;
  • give and accept constructive feedback gracefully;
  • help repair harm when it occurs; and
  • behave in ways that protect the well-being of the community.

Restricted Behaviors

The following behaviors are not acceptable in this community:

  • harassment or repeated unwanted attention;
  • insulting, demeaning, or pejorative attacks;
  • stereotyping or discrimination;
  • sexualized behavior that is inappropriate for the context;
  • sharing private or confidential information without permission;
  • encouraging, threatening, or causing harm; and
  • other conduct that undermines the safety and health of the community.

Other Restrictions

The following are also prohibited:

  • impersonating someone else or misleading others about identity;
  • failing to credit contributed sources appropriately;
  • posting promotional or commercial material outside community norms; and
  • irresponsibly sharing content that includes or promotes restricted behavior.

Reporting an Issue

If you believe someone has violated this Code of Conduct, please report it privately through one of the following channels:

Maintainers will review reports promptly, handle them as confidentially as possible, and take appropriate action to protect the community.

Addressing and Repairing Harm

When a report is confirmed, maintainers may use an enforcement ladder based on severity and pattern of behavior, including:

  1. Warning
  2. Temporarily limited activities
  3. Temporary suspension
  4. Permanent ban

The exact response may vary depending on impact, safety needs, and whether a pattern of repeated harmful behavior exists.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all community spaces and when individuals are representing this project in public or semi-public spaces.
