Thanks for your work and for sharing the rbrParser.zip example.From my current understanding, different .rbr files in the engine serve distinct purposes, and their formats vary accordingly. What I can say with reasonable confidence is that ResourceItem.rbr stores the names and hashes of optimized resources—that part is relatively clear.

As for the other .rbr files, it’s theoretically possible to reverse-engineer and write parsers for them as well. The real question, though, is what purpose this would serve. Without a clear goal or use case, investing more time might not be meaningful.

Maybe we can first align on what outcomes you're hoping to achieve through rbr parsing? That could help determine whether it's worth further exploration.

Thanks for the clarification. I’ll investigate further on my end and try to pinpoint exactly where the plot text is stored—especially if there’s a specific .rbr file that enables translation when modified. I recall tweaking one in the past to achieve that, so I’ll dig into it and let you know what I find.

After studying it in depth, I found the rbr structure is quite complex — even when successfully deserialized into objects, it's still very difficult to modify reliably.

That said, if you're mainly interested in translation, there's an interesting alternative: I discovered that bakinplayer.exe actually includes a hidden translation feature that can be activated using a specific launch parameter. The dictionary, however, needs to contain all the strings the game reads — which isn't exposed by default.

To solve that, I created the project: BakinTranslate
It actively calls internal parsing functions and hooks string reading methods to capture every piece of text used in the game, then outputs a dictionary file for translation.

If you're interested, feel free to check it out — it might save you a lot of time compared to direct rbr manipulation.
