Description
Original issue: HDFFR-1344
The hdfimport tool documentation does not clearly define how you should create a 2D dataset. You have to add a 3rd dimension of 1 after "TEXT" or the 2D dataset is not created properly.
For example, this creates a 2D dataset that is 4x3:
TEXT
1
4
3
1
0
1 2 3 4
1 2 3
1 1 0
1 1 0
0 0 0
1 1 0
Also, it would be very helpful if there were example input files (with different datatypes) in the documentation as well as in the hdfimport usage statement, to help users understand how to use it.
Here is another example:
TEXT
1
10
