email address filled with "live.com#emailaddress"

a new user will be created if it is not registered, but automatically the email address is filled "live.com#myazureid@xxxx.com", with which all notifications from redmine cannot be sent correctly.
any idea about this issue?

I encountered the same issue today, on an old Redmine that still needs this plugin.

The reason is that the plugin uses the unique_name claim from the Azure token. That claim is not guaranteed to be an email address. In my case, I was using a personal Microsoft account created years ago in the "Windows Live" era, and the unique_name claim contained the live.com# prefix.

In my case, the Azure token also contains the proper email claim, so I fixed the problem by changing redmine_oauth_controller.rb at the line:

email = user_info.first['unique_name']

changing it to

email = user_info.first['email'] || user_info.first['unique_name']
