Hello. Can luci-app-tailscale-community configure an OpenWrt router to access the internet through a third-party Tailscale node so that devices connecting to the router receive the third-party exit node's internet IP address? I haven't been able to achieve this yet. OpenWrt-24.10, Tailscale 1.96.2-1

The exit node is configured. The connection diagram should be as follows: router (openwrt+tailscalle) --> exit node (tailscale vps) --> internet.

No, it doesn't work. My laptop and smartphone don't receive an IP address from Tailscale-VPS. And when I connect directly from the laptop/smartphone, the IP address changes to Tailscale-VPS's.

Hi @homuzer @Tokisaki-Galaxy , regarding the exit node functionality — unfortunately I’m not able to give a clear explanation here. My personal experience with Tailscale is still quite limited, so I don’t have enough depth to confidently troubleshoot this scenario.

If following the official documentation still doesn’t work as expected, I would suggest trying the version from the official OpenWrt opkg repository. Even though it might be an older version, it can help us determine whether the issue comes from this repository or not.

If the exit node works correctly with the official package, then it’s possible that something went wrong during the optimization or trimming process in this repository. However, at the moment I can’t confirm that the problem is caused here.

I’m currently focused on resolving another issue, so I may not be able to dig deeper into this right now. Thanks for your understanding 🙏
