Streaming Average Chunk length and Stride length

Streaming is working; however, with a chunk length of 5000 ms. and a stride length of 500 ms., the majority of the live transcription output is unintelligible.

Can you suggest the right chunk size and stride length for live transcription

It is generally recommended to split long-form audio into ~20-second chunks with a 2-second overlap (alternatively, 15–20s chunks with 2–3s stride also works well). The overlap ensures words spanning chunk boundaries are fully captured, maintaining transcription continuity across segments. Also, make sure the audio is resampled to 16 kHz mono before processing.

@vmeganathan81 Hey! As per my experience, generally, we make ~30%-50% stride to short, live-streaming chunks (1–2s, 5-10s) where low latency is the priority. For longer chunks (15–20s), the optimal stride is 2–3s (~10–15% ratio).
For yours, 5sec. of audio, try a stride length of 1-2 seconds.
