[PMT] - Greptile-Found Bugs

This ticket is for the Spring 2026 EM for PMT.

Greptile found bugs in PR #352, and its analysis is in the PR's comments. Of course, there's no guarantee that Greptile is correct. I'd like for you to validate that these bugs are indeed bugs, and to assign tickets to fix them.
